Human-Centered Intelligent Training for Emergency Responders

نویسندگان

چکیده

Emergency response (ER) workers perform extremely demanding physical and cognitive tasks that can result in serious injuries loss of life. Human augmentation technologies have the potential to enhance work-capacities, thereby dramatically transforming landscape ER work, reducing injury risk, improving ER, as well helping attract retain skilled workers. This opportunity has been significantly hindered by lack high-quality training for effectively integrates innovative intelligent solutions. Hence, new learning environments are needed adaptive, affordable, accessible, continually available reskilling workforce technological capabilities continue improve. article presents research considerations design integration use-inspired exoskeletons augmented reality processes identification unique motor needs each these context-independent ER-relevant scenarios. We propose a human-centered artificial intelligence (AI) enabled framework ER. Finally, how requirements nascent integrated an tutoring system delivers across tiered access levels, covering range virtual, mixed, environments, is discussed.

Designing Simulation-based Training Scenarios for Emergency Medical First Responders

Simulation-based training is a promising instructional approach for training military and civilian medical first responders such as EMTs. There is a need for first responder training in cognitively-based skills such as situation assessment and decision making. We are developing a training program for first responders that uses mannequin-based simulation technology effectively to fill this train...

Intelligent Space for Human Centered Robotics

Robot systems for supporting human life are desired recently. For that purpose, the robots need to recognize a human living environment that changes dynamically. However, it is difficult to achieve it only with the sensors carried in a stand-alone robot. Then, the research field on the intelligent environments based on the sensor network has been expanding [Sato], [MacDorman]. The intelligent e...
